Well spent a good part of the day hunting the site I found yesterday. Should say the landowner showed me location. Made a few brownie points with him as we rode out to another site. We saw a feral critter that was on his big time get rid of list. He made the comment that he never goes out without a gun for just this reason but left his at home. I hide my G17 in a canteen pouch and offered it to him when he told me to let drive on it. Only comment was "You a handy fella to have around". He is some kinda character. In his late 70's and farms everyday.
Including some pics of the second site as well but grass pretty high now. He said he would bush-hog it for me when he gets a chance. All this just for finding his lost cell phone. Made a good friend.:icon_thumleft:

Didn't find much but man what a beautiful day. Part of a pocket watch a few wheats and lots of shotgun brass. Dug approximately 462 mason jar lids (just kidding). Don't know how many lids I dug but emptied the pouch in a trash bag at least 5 times with lids and junk.

He is supposed to take me to some more places when we get a chance.

Great looking day & pictures, the finds might not be great but being there was worth it.

The more junk you remove,The less masking of the good stuff thats down there.Best of luck on your next hunt.

Sounds like you had a fun day:icon_thumright: Your permission guy sounds like my father inlaw. He is 72 and still does the chores for 6 pigs and 6 milk cows.

Packrat.....He and his son work the property. 1400+ acres. He had been running a stump grinder and chipping limbs when he lost his phone. Most 30 yr olds would have trouble keeping up with him. I would say on the + side of 6'3 and a good 250 lbs. First thing I noticed when I met him and shook hands was the huge hands. I am 6 ft and could barely reach across his palm. Could probably still smack the taste out of a man's mouth with them big ole paws.:tongue3:

Looks like a great spot! Should be some good stuff there.

No doubt on needing the help.....good problem to have......where to go next.
