Metal Detector

Carry On Bags: Check with Airline
Checked Bags: Check with Airline
Because of the size limitations of overhead bins and space under seats, this item should be transported in checked bags.
Due to airline polices on weight and size of checked bags, you should check with your airline for any potential guidelines for certain checked items.

Hope this helps

I've never had a problem putting my Equinox in a checked bag. The battery type is not an issue when it's integral with the device. They ask that you make it so the detector can't be accidentally turned on. I do this by taping a piece of cardboard over the touch pad and wrapping it in some padding. Separate LiPo's and LiOn's can be packed in your checked bag too as long as they're not bigger than a certain size, or, more than a certain number. I can't remember the specs, but, they're listed on the TSA website. There again, they want you to put them in something so they don't short out against anything. I just put tape over the contacts.
