Sites are great, ideas are great. I have numerous uv lites even hand held. Now all I have to do is find flourescent rocks. There was a place on that History channel show that you can go and get them yourself for 1.50 a pound or something like that. LOL...Well back to searching and researching.

Thanks

Any one know where I can get some?

Dennis

If you just want to purchase some, try the ads in
(Rock & Gem) magazine, in the back.

Fossis......................

Go and buy a battery operated Black light and go looking. You also might want one you can adapt to a car cigarette lighter.
Nighttime isn't best out here, but the scorpions flourese a bright Green. some of them are BIG too.

For the daytime hunt set up a blind or portable dark room in your car, so you aren't bringing home stuff that you don't want to keep.

Hey Old Dog....where is here?

Dennis
Probably it is in his home area, some nasty "beasts" are around like the scorpions. Is how I did understand it. ;)

Dennis,

Western Colorado, Near the foot of the Colorado National Monument. All sub alpine deasert. Near Moab Utah and Grand Junction Colorado.

As EU says lots of nasty beasties, both large and small. Most come out at night.

Thes get as big as 3". pretty easy to find in the daytime and they are painful when they get you. Other than that I can say they are a Centroides type. That's all I know.

If you are going to be in Western Colorado this summer
Give me a PM and I'll set aside some time to catch some.
