I am planning a trip to the Florida Keys.

Do you have any tips on good spots to hunt

Can I go in the water with an MD in the Keys?

I know a great spot in the keys, a couple of them, and a secrete spot too.
I live in Miami, if I tag along I can show you the spots.

Almost anywhere on the eastern side of the Keys are good because of storms depositing Spanish coins on the beaches and shallow water. You'll do best with a Pulse detector or Excalibur to discriminate out the iron junk. Wear beach shoes or divers boots and watch out for stingrays.

Ocaen side at the Vaca Cut bridge has been good for me. Some spikes and a few Reales.

I had not done to many research, so I went to Lower Matacumbe....NADA....is what I found....I was looking for a beach that Bob"Frogfoot" Weller calls Treasure Beach.
I have done some research and I want to go back, but better prepared this time.....I was fun anyway, the hunt is always fun.

Thanks for the tip, I did buy diving boots and they did come in handy...and we also saw stingrays just like you said.
