Hello. I'm a new member, but have been reading/following this site for years. I just replaced my old Fisher 1280x with a White's U/W and will be in the Islamorada area next week. I have lat long for 2 sites (near Alligator light and by Hens and CHickens) that I got from one of Bob Weller's books. If anyone has fresh coordinates, or coordinates from other sites in that area they'd like to share, I would be grateful. Most of my searching in the past has all been for 1715 stuff. Thanks for reading.

Might you also try for some summer lobster and jewfish as well? Please take care, you've picked some popular places in the patrol lines of FWC.
Otherwise, it is a beautiful area; enjoy.

Thanks for the replies. I've never detected in the keys, how do I know what areas/sites are off limits? I would logically think that places inside protected areas (no lobster areas, etc.) might be off limits, but what about the rest of the water?

The 1733 wrecksites posted are off-limits to dive with metal detectors, like he said. I dont know how far away from the actual wreck or ballast pile would be legal.
