Greetings All,

The Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary is seeking input from the public to help steer a review of its regulations, zones, and boundaries. This is the first step in a multi-year review process. Those of you who have an interest in the FKNMS are strongly encouraged to voice your opinions.

In June, a series of public meetings to solicit ideas and opinions will be held in the Lower, Middle, and Upper Keys, as well as in Miami and Ft. Myers. If you cannot attend, comments can be submitted electronically, or by mail. You can also send your ideas to me, and I will make sure they are entered into the record. Submissions are being accepted until June 29.

Detailed information on when and where the meetings are being held, how to submit ideas, and the existing regulations can all be found within the following web page: Sanctuary Seeks Public Comment on Boundaries, Zones and Regulations

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Sincerely,
