Couldn't make it over to the other side. Hoped the strong westerly of the storm would stir some stuff up on the west coast.
Unfortunately, it did. I tried twice... once while the storm was still raging, and once this morning.
It piled an additional 3 feet of sand on the bank making the dreaded "hump", and also dragged a bunch of sand out to the sand bars... everything in the water which was once hard ground now feels like quick sand.
Spent 15 minutes seeing just how deep I could dig, and recovered a penny. Then I wandered up into the sand and hit one aluminum target after another.
Promptly drove home and cried into a shot of whiskey.
Casper will tell of wins from his trip soon enough though... so looking forward to that.
