History enthusiast and excited potential detectorist. I started a fascination for detecting by watching the show The Detectorist on Netflix. I have been hooked ever since. I have an 11 yo son who is learning a lot about history and thought this would be a great way to keep both of us active and together as the years go. I live in South Florida and have heard about all the gold on the beaches growing up, I have beach combed all my life and have found many cool items and stuff washed up without a detector. So much history Florida has to offer and so few time to detect everywhere. Looking forward to getting my 1st detector this fathers day!

Have been on this site for months finally became a member today, hopefully be posting some cool things soon. Appreciate everyones insight and willingness to help each other out. God speed....
