floral button found

ok so i was taking a walk in an area that had direct links to the revolutionary war...there happens to be a house that was burned during the war..it is now an overgrown field...with a small tree line nearby and nature calling i head through the field...as i come up to the tree line i notice its the top of a small embankment...scattered all through the dirt i see small pieces of pottery..i did not have my detector with me or a camera...as im lookin closely at the pottery shards this button was just layin there starin at me from the soft dry dirt..i hope its revolutionary war period..but i may never know...dont know if its silver or pewter.only cleaned it lightly

Cool, solid cast button. Don't know the origin or date, but good shape.

Looks like 1700s to me. the seam on the back means it is at least that old.
