I found this woman's wide ring today in North Central Ohio while detecting a late 1800's Homesite. It's marked 18k but only has a couple very small spots of gold left on it. I'm fairly certain that it was a scam ring and I'm looking for some additional information of any kind. Thanks ! 1496105454118247370820.jpg1496105572863-1217222109.jpg

Greetings an welcome to the forum. You see a lot of gold gilted brass rings dug from Civil War sites as well as period house sites.
