I use flex seal

typically not on anything that flexes

it does flake and crack

You can try just clean the surface to like new. do thin coats.

A two sided patch is the better option

Shoe GOOP works like a dream. John

I find that GOOP stuff gets too stiff in the cold and cracks away from the surface. Instead I use a marine adhesive sealant like 3M 5200 or similar. Downside is it takes a week to cure...and tends to cure in the tube once opened.

I used red rtv gasket marker and had really good luck, did it at the end of last season and its still holding. My waders started cracking at some of the seams so when I repaired them I covered everything. The stuff is ridiculously flexible and will not get brittle, and sticks to rubber boots like glue!

"marine" goop

Gorilla tape works for me on small holes

Aquaseal is made for repairing underwater gear like waders and wetsuits. It works. I've used it for years on my gortex fabric waders.

Also, If you have any material patches that came with your waders use them.

E6000 is a multi purpose adhesive that also works very very well.

Gorilla tape worked great as a field repair, but after a couple trips began to leak. This was on rubber hip waders that had cracked. Ive since coated with E6000 and all is holding well.

The 3M 5200 is the way to go, adheres well and durable. You can get it in a fast cure(24 hrs) works great.
