Found this button at a home site that dates back to the 18th century. I don't think it is terribly old, but I'm looking for second opinions. The location of the home is in a very historic area just outside of Philadelphia. Any help with an id is greatly appreciated.

That marking was used on lots of things from materials to wallpaper. I don't think its a boyscout button. My quess would be decrative button from lady's clothing of some sort.
