Found these today at a flea market! I think I did well.

9 40% halves -paid $18
1 90% kennedy half paid 2$

One 1915 barber quarter -paid $14
One 1854 o seated quarted(possible large o?) - paid $25
One 1897 indian head with nice rainbowish toning - 1$

Plus the 5 bucks it took to get in.
I think it was a good day. Especially if my quarter is the huge o variety

Just my opinion..

I,m board , so ill give you my opinion on your finds .
1- You did good on the halves.
2 -The Indian Cent Has Been Polished up , But for a Dollar
3-I would have paid no more than $9 for the Barber
4- The 1854o is not the 'Huge O Type" ( if it was ,You would be very Happy).
& IMO It's in Ag cond, and since I like the Seated Series Would have given $15 bucks at most cause of the Damage. (maybe to use as a filler).

I don,t mean to put down your Coins .
Just know in the future ,Indians /Copper Coins Wont Rainbow tone like silver But they will tone in their own way in "Proof " or High Mint state Cond.

Who wrote on the flips 60.00 on the Barber & Huge O on the Seated ?
IMO -If a seller wrote those words , They were out to "RIP" Someone Off.

Also Maybe You can get you a one of the "Grading Coins by Photographs" books To take with you on your buying trips ( When purchasing "Type " coin's etc,).
This book has helped me out a-lot.
All in all you did pretty Good . My opinion of course.
Good luck in the future.

Thanks. I looked them up and I knew the grades weren't top notch. But I decided to take a chance on the seated for that price because I couldn't discern if it was that variety or not. I think the previous owner wrote that not the seller I bought from. I wish I would have not had to buy the barber but that was the only way he was gonna go lower that 50 on the seated. He was pretty convinced it was the large o variety. Thank you for your feedback though! I'm happy with the purchase either way. I'll sell the halves and make up the difference. Or close to it.

I was trying to see if that paper was The Daily Oklahoman. If it is, you probably went to The Old Paris Flea Market? I spent much time there when I lived in OKC. Nice buys.

I've never been to a flea market that charges admission. Must be an OK thing. Every single one I've been to in NH, Alabama & now Tennessee are free admission and they make their money selling vendor spaces.

Hey it is the daily oklahoman! It wasn't old paris though. It was a traveling flea market that stops by the state fair grounds about once a month. I never find anything worth buyong at old paris. I have only gone recently but from what I hear its not what it used to be. Thank you btw.

yeah. I hadn't either an almost left when I got there seeing that they charged. my guess is its because they hold it at state fairs and other venues it travels around to. They had great vendors so it was worth the 5 bucks just to talk to all the interesting people.

Since you mentioned Tn flea mkts, I have to say one of the best I ever went to is in Crossville, Tn.
