I just picked this little guy up coming home this evening. Weird little thing it is. Not sure how old this little leprechaun is who has three legs, like the coat of arms on the Isle of Man flag. That 3 leg symbol is called a Triskelion a symbol that dates way back on artifacts found from the neolithic, bronze and iron ages in Europe. It really looks like a bisque objects made in Germany and is marked on the bottom with a number that looks like 1041 and a makers mark I can't make out. It has holes like a salt shaker on top of his hat and along his leg and a hole in the back like a little planter. Could be a flower frog? It stands 3-3/4" tall... Checking out other little whimsical looking bisque figures on ebay it really looks like some collectors will pay up on these little collectibles if they have a bit of charm to them. It was only 4 bucks and really caught my eye at that price. I sure hope it has that WOW! factor to the buyers of these things. I can't find another like it online.

Scanning through all the bisque figures this morning on ebay I came across a bisque figure "votes for women" (see pic) that sold for $317. "With Damage". This little ebay figure has the same kind of look on the base, like the figure I have...I now know the figure I have was made by a company in Germany called "Schafer & Vater carlopeto's SCHAFER & VATER - HISTORY It's actually a match stick holder and looks like it'll have some value to collectors of these little bisque figures. I knew there was something unique about this little guy. He's now a real "trust your gut" treasure find. I can only guess what he'll sell for, but I'm sure it'll be more then the $4 & change, I gave for it. How true it is you can learn something new every day. Schafer & Vater bisque figures, don't pass em up!!!.
