One of my top 10 all time favorite. The hinge below the tip is unique, Ive seen on a few other other times.
It seems like when the maker finished the first time, took looksee, decided too long and broke in half and than reworked the tip to what it is today. Conjecture of course.. It seems there is something about that wooden tools firm but gentile grip that allows me to looksee the display screen more in one hand and worry about my thumb and pointy finger letting go with the other.
I’ve have tried to make pics with a few different backgrounds and lighting.
Close pins and blue sky are hard to beat

Beautiful stuff! Those clothes pins work well...

Fat - that’s a beauty. The tip hinge was most likely a function of resharpening after an impact fracture. Very nice.
