I did rinse it with water and what I thought was the red part of design turned out to be red NC clay :D

Nice collection of flat coins. How do you find so many? The ones I used to do I would scoop them right up and take them with me. I guess those got lost. That's still a lot to find in all of the railroad stone. :thumbsup:
 

The high number of flaties is due to location rather than skills :D However this old RR track has been a good convenient spot to refresh skills with metal detector after years of collecting dust. Former RR track running parallel with one of two busy business streets in city.
