About 10 days ago we had 18-22 inches of snow on the ground in Southern NH. The recent warm spell wiped out a lot of snow in my area. I got out on Monday 12-29 for about 3 hours in Hollis,NH. It was about a 2 acre field and had less than 5% snow coverage. No frost in the ground. Worms were even near the surface. Maybe I should have brought my fishing pole! Found three flat buttons, two pennies: 1921 wheat and 1964 memorial, a thimble, small lock and relics. It was really nice to get out again before the ground froze solid until Spring!

I'm guessing these are from 1780 to 1820. Anyone have any better dates?

Pic 2 & 3 Front and back of same button. I can see PLATED on the top and what looks like ONDON on the bottom. Maybe it's LONDON and the L is not showing.

Pic 4 & 5 Close up of the other two backs. One has IMPERIAL on the top and STANDARD on the bottom. On each side there is a design that looks like 4 petals (or clover leafs).
Pic 6 found a week earlier in same field
