I found this flat button on a property dating back to the colonial days. I found a KGIII and a knee buckle the same day. The property is still in use so I don't know the date of this button. I'm guessing the 1800s. No shank on the back and the back does not have detail as far as I could tell. Any ideas on what the significance is? Is it just a sizing mark? Possible military? Thanks for looking!
