Sorry for the unclear picture, but what I have found at an old house site from the 1800s Looks to be either a end of a flashlight and either a earring or cufflink. It does have the screw type fitting, no other marks, the round disc (flashlight end?) also has a 6 point star in the middle with alot of smaller stars going around the edge. The opposite side looks like a spring may have gone against it and there is white powdery substance...Battery acid??
