Got out today and went to the "Special Button" site. ;D I did find some buttons, but not exactly what I was looking for. I found five "13" star buttons today in an area bout 10X10. I had found one of these types of buttons here in October about 100 yards over from here. When I posted that one, someone told me they thought they were WWII buttons . Was very surprised to find so many of them! One of them still has some fabric on the backside. Looks like maybe wool? And the color looks to be black. Also found something that says NO.39 Railroad...don't have a clue what it could have been. Dug lots and lots of junque, but thought I'd spare you the details. ;D Almost forgot to take a pic of the place before dark...but I did get one to turn out OK. :)

Nana :)

OH...and I found a 'D'. ;)

Hey love!

Yeah Will...I can see it now....someone could'a been scootin under that fence after runnin from the bulls...and woops!....there goes all the buttons! :D

Thanks ya'll! ;)

Good digs Nana. Are those lead seals next to the railroad thing. The whole coat must of been left in that spot for that many buttons to be in such a small area. LOL maybe he just got hot running from the bull and took it off and threw it down. ::)

nice finds nana,, it's funny, i found 1 peice of pottery in 2 years,,seems some of you find em all the time,, ;D ;D ;D

Hey, neat stuff there, Nana!

The buttons are the type classified by the U.S. Army Quartermaster Corps as, "Button, Tack, M-1941" and since 1941 they've been used on various military clothing and fabric equipment closures.

The "No. 39 Railroad" item is the top of an old railroad lantern:
