Most of our local lakes have been pretty well searched, so we've been spending more time trying to find spots close to rivers in the area. After researching sections of a nearby town found a beautiful brook with over a mile of open woods along the banks. There are sections loaded with trash that are obvious local party hangouts, then stretches of fairly quiet ground. Along the banks lucky enough to pick up five silver coins in less than three hours:

My eighth SLQ this year, more than I've ever found before. Joe picked up a Barber quarter and another merc, plus we both found handfuls of pennies. Looking forward to getting back, as far as we can tell it's all public use land.

The day before we went back to our old lucky spot where I picked up four silver I posted earlier this week, on the way out found a cool British War Relief Society pin from WWII:

Good luck and thanks for looking!

You guys are killing it! 8 SLQ's this year? I'm a collector and huge fan of seeing them posted- that total is more than most will find in a career, let alone half a year- Great job!

Congrats on the nice bunch of silver. Love those SLQs, and have only found two in just over two years. That pin is very special. Nice hunt!

Your hunts dont seem to ever disappoint. Thanks for sharing. Thinking outside the box can be quite fruitful.
