Tried a new field that is a bit older than the one's I've been hitting. Ended up with...

$3.19 clad
1 broken key (both pieces)
9mm bullet that was fired, but had no damage (probably a New Years celebration shot)
27 old style ring pulls (those things were killin' me!)
14 pull tabs
other assorted junk

Days like this really make you appreciate the good days...at least it's more experience under the belt. With this junk I can set up my machine to improve my chances when I hit this field again, now that I know what it's infested with.

Doesn't it! But....you did find a few keepers! ;)

You did better than me Beep! Snuck away from the farm early. By the time I got back to town and got my stuff together I had about an hour of light left. Tried to find a park I drove by a couple of months ago but had no luck. Went back to my neighborhood and hit a small park I've been to a couple of times. First good signal was a dime at 5". Dug it and it turns out to be a 1980. At almost 5". I'm thinking wow. Wonder how deep a 1964 dime would be in this soft soil. :o
Anyway, ended up finding a whopping .38 cents and more than my fair share of pulltabs. It beat pulling weeds though. ;D

Well getting out is always nice....Here in the North east the ground is frozen , just waiting for the ground to thaw.....Good time for research.....Good Luck in future hunts....Seeker

better days ahead looks alot like mine as of late...no rings since fall ugh..

It's all gonna change here sure enough Beep.....think spring...Glad you got out.HH!!

Thanks everyone for the replies. It's funny, I wasn't going to leave that field unless I had a major keeper in my pouch, but being soaked and tired won out over willpower. :P Sometimes the buzz in the headphones just becomes something you want to shut off. When you begin, it's music to your ears. I dug about 100 holes in that turf (no trace, picked up all trash). I can't complain though...three gold rings over the last three weekends was quite a streak, at least for me. If you don't get out, you won't find anything. Here's to everyone's tomorrow!
