Can anyone tell me about this bill? I always thought it was a silver cert. but was never sure. The date is 1928E

I read a post earlier about merc dimes and the 1916d series
dang it all ??? I have 3 1916 but none with the d :'(
so I dug out all my old monies and found the five, and figured I would ask about it.

that is a united states note...not a federal reserve(privately owned company)note
but notice lower center....says they will pay to the bearer on demand.....the newer ones dont offer to pay the bearer anything.

it is a note....just like a house or car note...in reality the more(new ones) you have...the deeper in debt you are. but you dont mind.since you can still trade them to other suckers for food and gas....just not real money.

It's a nice looking bill! That series 1928E,(not the year it was printed) in VG condition is worth around $12, with the signatures, Julian, and Snyder. The series number only changes when a new Treasurer, or Secretary of the Treasury, takes office!
Thought you liked to know!
