Five Crosses Necklace from Jerusalem

This was given to my mother in the early 1950's by a teacher who had been to Jerusalem. Engraved on the back is "Jerusalem" and "900". The picture will not attatch.
The neckace is one big cross with a ruby colored stone in the center and four small crosses attached to the inside corners of the cross.

It sounds like a Jerusalem Cross pendant. ".900" is probably for .900 fine (90% pure) silver. The Jerusalem Cross is also known as the "Crusaders Cross." The four small crosses represent the four Gospels proclaimed to the four corners of the earth, beginning in Jerusalem; the large cross represents Christ. Here are a couple of examples:
