Like thirty7 said, those are called Kerrville Knives and aren't really an Axe. Yours is definitely one of the better ones I've ever seen though.

Here's a tray full that was on display at the Temple Show.

Hay You all Hi And i got a lot of stuff to how you ll but for now I posted this I got this at a yard sale from an old guy he told me he found it when he was a kid you know where they found all those fossils here in western Kansas i don't believe he was joshing me because his kids were doing the yard sale and it looked like he was unhappy maybe they were putting him in a Nursing home their was a lot of good stuff their till for being late in th afternoon and i paid 3 bucks for it because that what the girl said and then he started telling me about where he found it and i felt bad because it look like it meant a lot to him and i hated to buy it and i ask him you sure he just smiled and kept talking about he and his Friend used to go out looking for fossils and the Giant Indians

Well my question is this a real one or do you think he or his friend made it when they were kids he was up their in the years too no being disrespectful and i only paid a few bucks for it he had a lot more stuff their but i was broke and my son like it too

Well also can i post some Civil War Law Books i ot also they are sort of a Treasure about th massacre here in Kansas in 1863 at Lawrence and they are signed by a Famous General and they are the only ones around vol I,II,III,IV1863-1868 they skipped a year so please let me know what page to post it in i don't want to get you all mad by posting in the wrong area

I got some neat Items I'd like to share with you all and perhaps i could learn more on those book an extra set of eye are always good but also here's hat door knob i bought also but that was in California it came from John Sutter Mill you know the 49'er gold rush the knob was removed from service by the army corp of eng and tagged when they did it into a museum in the 50's sort of cool to have history it was a fort during the war
