The Westfield River merges with the Connecticut River and I see turbulent water at times..

I did not know squirrels were swimmers,this one was a few days ago coming in from the other side of the river..

This one was going to the other side,I watched him till I couldn't see him and with the current he'll come out WAY down river..

I have to say, that's one more reason squirrels survive and prosper so well. They're one of the most clever creatures anywhere.
 

Your photos are great, Chris! I never knew squirrels could swim until you started posting pics of them.
