Re: The Latest on the Fisher Warranty Isssue - MUST READING!

my serial number starts with 1108 with that said, I have to assume Nov of 08, is my manufacture date.. Don't know what yours starts with.. My manual said there were no washers supplied with my detector.. the coil connection to the stem fits real snug with out much tightness on the coil bolt. I'M glad you got your problem solved and your washers are coming.. Hope your finding things with your 70 good luck keep us informed HH paul

Ps.. as an after thought if you have a garrett's machine check the size of the washer to yours see if they are the same, would give you another outlet to get washers if needed and might be a price diff also ..$6.25 includes bolt, nut, 2 washers .

First off, they must need them. I have lost 2 coil bolts in the woods with my detectors in 3 months. They have worked their way loose and fallen off. It would have been three, but I found it after it fell of.

My manual also says they are not needed for the F70 and with the F75, there is only one included although there is room for 2 At least they are handing them out for free,

A tip to not lose coil bolts and nuts is to put a piece of celophane or plastic wrap over the end of the bolt before screwing the nut on. It will go on snug and will not work loose.
I learned this after losing a BH coil bolt.
