I emailed Mike Scott and he got back to me. Then i called the 800 number you gave me and got to Fleix and Mike & Fleix both gave me my answer. So as long as i see they will get back to me and i can talk to some one in the know how when i call i will look at that Fisher detector i wanted........ Not in that PO mood now..........

Re: Fisher Service got me in a PO mood

This is what normally happens when a business hires people for the lowest wage. Soon we will be talking to some dude from India or China. When they start asking me to press ONE for English, I start buying somewhere else.

Re: Fisher Service got me in a PO mood

Had good luck the other day when I called them with a question. Got through to some service manager type person, which let me talk to one of they're repair techs.

Re: Fisher Service got me in a PO mood

Saw this on another forum, it was posted by Mike Scott.

Call Felix at 1800-685-5050

Hope this helps!

I emailed that Mike from Fisher about a week ago and emailed Fisher about a week ago. No answer i called Fisher and it's like they just hire people to answer phones that as far as i can see don't even know what a detector is. What is wrong with there service and the people that work for them they don't know and don't care about the people that buy there detectors??????????

If you call a bank and just get a receptionist, I doubt the person that answered the phone will be able to approve a loan for you. Same applies to First Texas.
Just like any othe buisness on the planet, you have to get ahold of the right people. Emailing Mike is other an excercise in futility. I'm a field tester and 9 times out of 10, I dont even get a response. Truth is, he is a VERY busy guy, and sometimes things get overlooked. You try managing every dealer on the planet and see how busy you get! ;D
Anyway, if you have a repair/return issue...you have to speak the Felix. Thats HIS job, not Mikes.
His number is (as posted below) 1-800-685-5050
Dont waste your time with emails. A call to the right person will do the trick. They DO have some very knowlidgible people there, and often you will be able to speak to an actual tech. Hope you get it all straightened out.
What kind of problem do you have, and on what machine?? I may be able to help. I have replacement coils, and a bit of experience with Fisher products. Streak!

Re: Fisher Service got me in a PO mood

I will give that phone number a try on Monday and ask for Felix. But who ever the woman on phone transferred me to did not know any more than her. Thank you for asking if you can help but what i have to find out from Fisher no one here can help with. I know this for i have been in this detecting for a long long time.

Keppy, Believe me they DO care about the people who buy their detectors. If you have a question about repair Felix is the man. For tech questions Daniel is always willing to help out. He has knowledge of both Los Banos and FT products having started with Fisher in Los Banos, CA and moving to El Paso when Fisher was bought by First Texas.

Mike Scott , got back to me and i called service and talked to Felix . Mike & Felix both gave me a answer to my question . That's the service everyone told me Fisher had to offer and it helped make my decision on the LTD an easier one!! Glad to hear your PO mood is gone!!

i dont get it??????????? every time i have called fisher i have had excellent service!!!!! if you ask to speak to a tech, you can! if you ask for someone in parts, you get a professional! if your detector needs repair you talk to felix and he is very friendly! i recently had something replaced at no cost out of warranty because we agreed that the part was defective and not abused.
i have tried using e-mail and that flat out doesn't work!!!!! unless they have addressed that problem?
anyone that has a negative view of fisher/teknetics/firsttexas should really reconsider there opinion and what there negative view is actually based on.
chuck.
