History of JW Fisher Metal Detectors.
JW Fisher's Celebrates 50 Years of Innovation and Service

Fisher Labs patented the worlds first metal detector in 1931.
So by now they should know a fair bit about metal detectors after 87 years dontcha think?

Now everybody should know the difference between these two companies and their metal detectors.

Fisher makes a great product. I've enjoyed my F75LTD. I use it and the Deus on most digs.

My hunting Buddy swears by his old Fisher and he does well

I still have a 555D and a 553D that still work great although the Disc mode is a bit tricky but it does reverse discriminate quite well.
I use a Gold Bug DP at the beach. I hits on small gold chain very well and can Ground balance to wet salt, so it does pretty good at the water line.

I really like my gold bug pro. I still go back and forth between it and my equinox 600.

Had to buy another f75 after selling the old one. Ergonomics and reliability ars second to none and it still flat out finds the goodies.

I'm in my 35th year of using my Fisher 1260X - the original one, purchased in '83, got that record of purchase here somewhere. I trust it RIGHT NOW as much as I do any detector I've ever owned.
