I just bought a used gold bug 2 from an estate sale. There was hundreds of detectors but the one that caught my eye was the gold bug 2. the man hosting the estate sale work for Fisher for over 30 years. the unit I bought came with the new regular fix your computer plus the prototype but they used to make that computer. unplugged the prototype into the coil with you fresh batteries took it out and it worked great I was amazed. it also included a newer computer but the volume button wont turn back to the off position so I can't get it to turn on. I was just wondering if anyone might know how to fix it without sending it to Fisher because they can't even give you a price quote on the phone until they receive your item. also I am just curious to see what the prototype computer and coil might be worth to somebody to.
