I hit a park this morning to change things up a bit. I didn't find much except for 1918 Wheat Penny, a dateless Buffalo Nickel, a lead bullet and some modern coins. It's time to move on to another site. I need some silver!
My next site was a thirties house located on a corner lot with a very small front yard. The EMI was terrible! I went over that yard twice before I got my search coil over a good target. The VDI numbers were rolling around in the upper eighties, so I dug an extra large plug to make sure that I didn't hit any coin.
I got down to around 7 or 8 inches and a hit a tree root. I finally unearthed a 1945 Walking Liberty Half Dollar that was slightly on edge. I believe this is my 7th or 8th Walker for the year. Tired and wore out, I headed for the house.
My F75DST detector settings: 9.0, Sensitivity 85, JE Mode, 4H Tones, Disc Level 5, GB 70.
This was my 65th hunt for the year and my silver coin total for the year now stands at 191. I just need nine more by the end of June.
