Fisher f75 over the f70

I am looking to either upgrade myself or get my nephew a detector Use and have as a backup myself. I found a f75 new for 370 new. Not from a detector dealer per say but I don’t think it would be an issue of a knock off or misrepresented item. I have an f70 that would be good for my nephew and as a back up. would the f75 be an upgrade a far as depth and separation of targets I am sure there a lot more the f75 offers. And. Already have coils that would work with the f75 which makes the price better. Thoughts?

F75 are better. My bro had one and it was a very reliable and very deep machine. Especially in boost

Depth and separation difference...I doubt it.
F75's have more programs and a few more ways to adjust things like tone pitch and manual GB.
If you get the newest machines they have DST and a few more programs, all of which might be helpful to a specific owner that appreciates and can utilize those programs and extra features.
DST makes for a quieter environment, (a boon for many), and a few of the programs might help to silence troubling iron and other pests so if they work well enough to let you notice targets better than you would without them I would consider it an upgrade.
Then there are hunters like me, I use the F70 and hunt in all metal with the gain and thresh maxed out.
If I do use disc it is usually below 5 down to 0 sometimes, the least amount of filters between me and my targets the better as far as I am concerned but it took a lot of time and learning to get to this point.
Because of the way I hunt if I had one most of the programs on the F75 would never be used plus I don't like the handle and trigger on the big guy, a totally personal opinion, of course.
They both have boost, they both have major depth and superior target separation is built into the DNA of all Fisher products, the ones I have used, anyway.
Except for programming both are built on the same core engine so similar results should be attainable if used by the same hunter with machines adjusted and set close to each other.
Like I said DST could matter for some, or the built in programs the flagship has or one of the extra adjustments might affect things.
Everyone is different which is exactly why both these fine treasure finding machines exist.

The F75 is so user friendly that even a youngster could use it. Target separation, depth, and ID can be achieved at a much higher level than the F70, I know because I’ve owned a F75 in all forms, colors, and add ons since new, as well as a T2, F70, and countless others. You want a great machine for coins, civil war relics, and other goodies, then get the F75, when testing the new F75 against the Nox, and not just one but two users of the Nox, and another Minelab, there wasn’t much difference in being able to hear the same targets as them. You can achieve maximum depth by all metal, or also by cranking it up, and listening for those deep signals. I’ve got videos online with it vs other machines, not air test but true in the ground for over 150+ years.

I've owned two F-75's and a Patriot (F-70). The price drop on most machines ever since the introduction of the Equinox and Simplex has made the F-75 way more affordable now. I actually think the F-70 can and will perform right next to the 75 but the main reason why I would pick the F-75 is just for ergonomics alone. The Patriot felt sloppy and cheap in the hand vs the F-75. The menu setup on the Patriot was a little more in depth vs the F-75 too. Thats JMO though.

For that price it would be hard to go wrong. The F75, (especially if it's the newest one or has been upgraded to it) has so many great features you could write a book on it. There's nothing that detector can't find if the user does their part.
