Fisher F4 Metal Detector with Waterproof 11" DD Coil

A good unit for an ok price but still a glorified F2.
It has that big coil and an all metal setting so that is good but the GB only works in all metal and does not transfer over to disc even though many think it does.
A used unit that is discontinued so eventually support for this one will be curtailed and if you need service it will cost you.

This one is on sale now for $219, a rebranded new generation Land Ranger Pro...the same coil, many more features and a new warranty and free shipping....while they last.

For me the choice between these two at these prices and features is a no brainer.
The Liberator is everything the F4 should have offered for $399 but just wasn't possible at the time.

I agree with digger27. I used an F4 for 6 months and loved the DD coil. The only 2 negatives I have for the F4 is that it takes two 9v batteries and that ground balance only works in all metal mode and AM mode has the VCO tone. I also owned the BH LRP. It is a much better machine and is the best bang for the buck. Heck 2 years ago they retailed at many sites for over $400.

Right now you can get the Land Ranger Pro - called by Teknetics the Ameritek Liberator for $219 direct from Teknetics website - use a discount code - here's one A1485

I owned an F4 years ago. It is the best dime finder on the market, both silver and clad! It is my opinion that it is terrible at other finds. Maybe just me. ╦╦Ç
