Fisher F4 around/in water

I moved this post here instead of the brand specific forum to try and reach a larger audience...Does anyone have experience with the F4 around or in water, fresh or salt? Just curious for the fact I will have one in my clutches in a few days and plan on trips to the lake, river, coast, etc.... Thanks for any resonses and HH!

Jeff, there is a guy that hunts Galveston with an F4, and he has no problems with it. He uses a baggie over his control box in case water splashes up. Just remember that if you fall and the control box gets submerged, it can fry the elctronics. He is lostringfinders on utube
