I started metal detecting in September. Started with a fisher F5 for one month, then stepped up to an e-trac. I did have a lot of time to dirt fish. And I was lucky to of found a lot of good places. Finds included Indian heads, shield nickel, v nickels, seated, barber, and rosies. A two cent piece. Silver Ben, a barber and Washington silver quarters. My clad count was $97 and I found 46 wheats. What a fun hobby. I have two buddy's who MD with me. It's a blast when we all get together. Special thanks to Keith, from Fort Bedford Metal Detectors. Not many dealers text to make sure you're doing ok with there items you bought.

Great finds there! I started around the same time and am so happy I found this hobby and this forum. I have found great items and learned a ton about my areas history. Looks like you're a coin killer. Keep up the great work. All the best, Abe

Abe, I've found a bunch of neat stuff too. Rings, broach, sleigh bells, cow tags.....ect. The etrac loves silver lol. Thanks. Enjoy the holidays.

Very well done Sir. :occasion14: Having fun is what it;s all about. That Big Ben sticks out like a sore thumb. I still need to cross one of those off my list.
Congrats to you on a super collection,
MM

Thanks for the kind words, fyrguy- you sure took to that machine and started nailing finds! That's an awesome coin collection for only 4 months of hunting.

Glad to be able to get to know you a bit and to see your finds and enthusiasm for detecting. Hopefully it warms up a bit and you'll be back out there soon- and posting more finds. 8-)

I will be coming back soon thanks for the great article.

Nice finds, good luck in the future.

Congrats! For just starting you're doing really well! May it continue! GL & HH!

Very well done my friend.

Not many people do as well as you have in such a short time. You've set the bar pretty high for yourself!
