Primary Interest:
Metal Detecting
I received my first detector as a Christmas present last December and have made it out between 50 - 60 times for about 2 hrs each. I've learned tons and have had loads of fun!

Best find, 1/4 oz gold coin in gold pendant

Second best, 1 gold ring 10k

Found far less silver coins than I hoped, but all my finds are basically within 5 miles of my house, need to do more research, not showing the wheats but found a pocketful

Now just have to wait 4 months for the thaw, but wait, I'm heading to the beach OBX next week, so if there is a nice cut I'll be back at it!

Good luck in 2017!!

Really great finds and reflective of many hours spent swinging and digging targets. Well done!:notworthy:

Thx Terry, my finds pale in comparison to many of the awesome Tnet finds. The posts from this group are a huge motivation for me.

Awesome first year! Nothing like seeing a fellow addicts "fixes". Thanks for sharing and I hope you do ten fold this next year!

Congratualtions on the very productive season! You did very well on the Jewelry and Silver! :occasion14:

Wow, this has been a killer year. I can tell you have really had a good time. I appreciate you sharing your finds I only hope I can have such nice finds to share next year. Maybe Santa will leave you something nice under the tree this year to top it all off.

Love the treasure chest

Awesome scores, :occasion14: you might as well hang it up since you dug one of the Holy Grail finds (gold Coin). :tongue3: Your 1st season's keepers look like my 1st year finds. To improve your silver coin count, I recommend you do some door knocking and hunt older permission sites, especially those yards of homes built prior to the 1950's. Looking forward to seeing your finds in the up coming season.

Wow for only putting that time in (about 120 hours). I think you did amazing. Other guys are doing it like a job hah. Am I right in saying you did this all with an ace 250 as well? Heck that's even better in my book. Good luck next year. I'm in Altoona not sure how close you are. If close enough maybe we could get together

You've had a very good 1st year. Congrats

Looks like you did well Next year will be better you will see Thanks for sharing all you finds I'm in Michigan I still hunt when the ground is not frozen solid Keep up the good finds winter is a great time for research!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe your first season was better than mine........a gold coin and gold ring trumps anything I may have garnered over this past year.
Congrats on a great 2016, pa/nc.........looking forward to your 2nd season finds!! Good luck!!
