I decided to do the yard next to my house which is quite small. I wasn't expecting to get much because its been picked over really well by my dad, brother and I, but I got a decent 84 signal at 6 inches with the AT pro right out in front. I look and see another hole exactly where the signal is. I thought it was probably something stupid that I left in the ground, so I went inside to call it a day. My brother convinced me to go back out and dig it, and man am I glad he did. I dug and got a 1917 wheat under a root. I stuck the pin pointer back in and it went off so I kept digging and they kept coming! I ended up with 4 wheats, a 1917, (2) 1918 and a 1921 and one Indian head 1906.

don't ya just love it!

I keep getting amazed by how these old coins can hide from all those metal detectors. I like your finds, confirms my belief of how roots can effect how targets can or cannot be found. I'm glad you saved them.

Its amazing that those coins were missed by the 3 of us. And I also used at least 3 different models of detectors on the yard myself over the last year. I am a firm believer that even when you think a location is hunted out it rarely ever is. Dad

Nice spill !!! I've pounded my yard to death, it's 1.6 acres, and every time I go out I find at least one thing I deem "cool". I don't think it will ever be hunted out, at least I'll end up with the yard that has the least pull tabs.
