Been wanting for a long time, but made an hour this afternoon and went water hunting. Murphy joined the trip (broken eyeglasses, motor wouldn’t go into neutral/recrank, boat traffic, etc). Probably spent 30 min detecting ~ 50 yards of bank. Question for the experience river hunters……had a hit on big detector, pulled out a fishing weight….went back in with pinpointer and ended up with half dozen .22s within a 12-18” circle. Is that normal? Also, are those Minnie balls or foster slugs at the bottom right (wts 233, 394, 427 grains left to right).

Hitting a pocket of "heavies" is common in river and beach detecting. Usually occurs in bends or depressions where heavier items like lead and gold drop out of the flow and gather. Sweet haul. I know next to nadda about bullets, but very cool finds!
