After a long Monday at work I needed some peace so i went to an older city park, I assumed it had been hunted out I was ready to call it an evening with about $1.50 in clad when I tell myself to make a last random sweep across the field then back to the car. I get halfway across and get a high 90's quarter at 5 inches I dug a small plug flipped it over and there it was eagle side up! best feeling in the world! its seriously worn, looks like 1940. about a minute later a dime at 4 inches I wondered if lady luck would strike twice, and sure enough a Merc! can't read the date its pretty tarnished. I've now got a plan to grid that area over time and cant wait. I came home and dropped it into my wife's hand. She didn't share my enthusiasm she just replied "I though it would be a gold ring". That day will come (really she's good with it) Best Monday ever!
