Got out today to my favorite spot with tom76 today, No silver however I did get my first U.S Army collar disc, has screw post in back ,two more Wheaties (48d,27s) part of an eagle button, a Wilson button and some old ammo, the big one is a monster and says SL43 on the bottom, the small intact round says wcc41, and the skinny one has rva8-94 Mk2a4 5-53 on the bottom, not sure what each caliber is so Roy if your reading this see what you can find out, I went over 500 zincolns today, hard to believe I am only at 4 Silver with those numbers , anyways I am on track for 50 Wheaties this year (pretty good in Washington state) even thou tom76 has me beat so far 74 or something like that, Ill catch em! well any insight on the ammo and the U.S. Button would be appreciated, the PAT# on the buckle is 122506, 1872?? thanks and have a great night!

Button is actually a collar disk, looks pre-WWII, great finds!

Ok, here is what I found out. Sorry for the delay, but the skinny casing is actually and old style artillery primer cartridge. Mark 2 A4 Priming cartridge for a 105mm-155mm shell. If this came from where I think it did, it was an old artillery brigade area.
SL43 is a ST Louis Ordinance .30-06 cal cartridge.
Collar disk is post-WWII.
