Primary Interest:
Metal Detecting
Took my son to a park today for a play-date with some class mates. When I brought out the metal detector I was immediately surrounded by a bunch of very enthusiastic 9 year olds, so I put them to work! After a few minutes of training we were off...

While I was swinging the coil there were two children walking beside me, one with the pro pointer and the other with the shovel. When we found a target everyone would gather around for the dig. After the recovery the lead group (Me) would continue on while 3 or 4 children filled the hole and replaced the plug.
I gave each child a penny for their hard work and they were happy to get it, I think... :laughing7:

This is what we found in 30 minutes...

These kids are so sweet. They were just as happy finding bottle caps as when we found the ring...
