Went to the bank today to pick up my box of nickels and boxes of cents that I had ordered . When I got there the teller that I deal with asked me if I would be interested in some CWR halves she had . I asked her how much and she said $100 worth . I said I would take them . When I got out to the truck with them I couldnt wait to see what I had so I opened the first roll. When I poured them out into my hand I heard that distinctive sound of silver. Come to find out the first roll that I opened was a solid $10 1964 Kennedy half roll. I was in shock to say the least. After I got home I opened the other 9 rolls and found another solid roll of 1964 halves and a solid roll of 1967 40% halves. The other 7 rolls we're clad but I did find three Bicentennial halves that I kept . They were old rolls so all I can figure is someone had passed away and their children turned in there coin rolls for face value because all the 64s were separated and the 67s were separated . The part that really makes me sick to my stomach is the teller told me that they had turned in $1,000 of rolled halves to the Fed this morning because they don't keep that much halves in the vault on a normal basis. So who knows how much more silver is floating around out there right now from this stash . I'm sure this find is a one in a lifetime experience but it sure got my blood pressure elevated when I saw that first roll of silver
