Fisher F2
First off, id like to say hello to everyone here. I have been a member for a few years now, but just recently purchased first detector. Today was my first trip out with the F2. I took the kids to a park just around the corner. Although the ground is still frozen a couple inches down, these were found under the toys, in the wood chips.

I was also wondering about the smaller coil, i have a 4 inch i believe it is. Not sure when or for what i would use it for....I have the 10 inch coil on now.

There it is! Congrats.

Good haul for a first trip! I only got 11 cents on my first trip, :P

Welcome, and congrats on your first finds :icon_thumright: That smaller coil (sniper) is used in trashy areas, and a little more accurate. Although it won't go as deep as the bigger coils, it will nail any coin that is less than six inches or so. Very useful!!!

It's been my experience that the 4" coil gets about 1-2" less depth than the 8" coil and +1-2" with 10" coil (over the 8" coil).

You can also use that 4" coil to get up tight against non-metallic fences, etc.

Good luck and HH.
