First Time

Today is the first time I used my detector a Bounty Hunter Quick Draw, wow it seems complicated getting used to learning all the different sounds and notches it has. It was telling me 5-10 Cents & found junk. I guess I need more patience. Any tips ? Thanks.

Try setting your detector to a normal setting go out to a park or your back yard ect.. place a penny,nickle.dime and quarter on the ground and swing your coil over the penny until you get used to the sound that your detector make when you pass over the different coins, each should give a different sound you can get used to. Using a metal detector is kind of like playing a guitar,it takes practice! practice! practice.

You can pratice junk detecting as well, but sometimes you can quit digging too soon when you see a pull tab, so it's a good pratice to make sure a coin or even a ring ect.. might be hiding under the junk.

After digging out the pop tab, aluminum foil, piece of aluminum can, I went back over the hole with the detector to make sure there was nothing left in it. Happy Hunting!
