Garrett AT PRO; Vulcan 360 Pointer
Primary Interest:
All Treasure Hunting
This morning was the first time detecting for me. It was great!!!!! Didn't find anything great but the first clad quarter I found I thought it was pretty great. I found some iron and clad. I was detecting along a beach and noticed that along the water line I was finding iron a lot but when with two paces about water line I was finding coins. Used this trip to get used to my AT Pro and how it works. I found that when using the pointer don't hold the item in the hand with your wedding ring or it will register. I initially thought a rock had metal in it but when I got home and cleaned things up I checked it again and it did not. It was a great time!!! Looking forward to my next trip!

Welcome....I love the AT Pro for water hunting...good luck

Nice hunt. I always leave my wedding band at home when I detect, for the same reason. Keep hunting and it will just get better as you learn your machine. Happy hunting.

Welcome to the obsession. Keep at it and you will eventually pull some gold and other old coins.

The AT PRO is a great machine. Congrats on your hunt.
The Pro performs flawlessly in fresh water but SALTWATER will make it go a little nuts.

16 coins for $2.04 total, tent stakes, and an enjoyable adventure for your very first outting.

Whole lot of detectors on Clist for sale from people who may never have found anything.

But I'd say your first outing secured your addiction :)
