It warmed up a bit here in Wisconsin so I decided to take my new $1000 Safari for a test drive in a small park near my home. I spent about 2 hours there and found a few pull tabs, and a little clad. also a small child's ear ring and a button of of someones Arizona jeans!. After counting the change I figure at this rate my Safari will have paid itself off in about 20 years or so. I will say that 2 of the clad dimes I got were about 12 inches down so I guess their right the Safari does go deep! Also I found the detector pro pirate pistol I got really does the job! I pinpointed all the stuff at 5-6 inches! that probe really helped me find that clad in all the mud!

Glad to hear you got out & that it's warming up up there! Can't wait to get back up there.

Yup, it sure does. I finally got out of high trash density and went to low trash density and hit my first penny at around 10". For some reason I had thought the low trash density was the factory setting until I reread my manual today, so I switched it over and am getting deeper signals. The only drawback is a slower signal response. So now I have to go back over some of the areas I've detected to see if I missed anything.

By the way, what are your settings and what mode are you using?

I generally hunt in All Metal or Relic mode, knocking out the +40 value, sensitivity usually at 17 for our soil here in SW Washington.

Hey the clad adds up pretty quick - I've paid for my MXT twice in two years of hunting - and that

does'nt include any of the ring and jewelry finds . Argentium.
