First time out with MD found this?

image.jpgFirst time out with my new Fisher F2. Not sure what this is?? Shows up as 74 Dime on display. Found it about 4 inches deep, 2 different spots about 12 feet apart on an old wagon trail in MA.

I can see yoiur picture, my guess is the shiny one may be silver, the smaller one lead. Keep at it welcome to the treasure net, Happy hunting(HH)
 

It could be silver but better chance of it being slag or solder... I would take to Jewelry store or pawn store and have them acid test it. I hope its silver for your sake.

Thanks for all the replies! Hahah Jeff, no rings today, but it was awesome to get out for the first time. I was working in 4" snow and semi frozen ground so getting excited for spring!!
 

Looks like melted aluminum to me have found some in fire pits

Top looks like melted Aluminum to me, Not sure about the bottom........HH
 

If the top one is melted aluminium it would be very light, I find them all the time after bonfires ( my friends like to through there beerr cans into the fire).
