First time out w/Cibola's
My buddy and I finally made it out last evenning with our new Cibola's. We decided to go to a 75 square yard area where the winter snow/sand is dumped when it is removed from Main Street here in our small town in Maine. The area has 6-12 inches of sand/salt from the roads and sidewalks of Main Street.
We immediately started digging up bottle caps, tin foil wrappers and other trash.
But with practice we were soon able to only pick up coins and bigger metal objects. With the detector set to nearly the highest discriminate made, and high sensitivity I found 7 pennies, my buddy found 1 quarter, a penny and a half cent (you know, a penny cut in half )!
We found this type of area to hunt a great place to learn, with all the garbage around, and coins mixed in.
