Got up early and headed out see about getting permission to hunt an 1880's house.
Got there and was granted permission.
After being there maybe 10 minutes I saw that someone else had hit it. Plugs were visible here and there.
So I said to my source that someone already hit it.
My source says. I have another property just north of here, go and try that one...
Bam...... another 1880's house with lots of property.
1st hole I dug an 1882 IH.
The second hole I dug was a Japanese coin 1/2 Sen it was 6 inches deep. ( minted 1873 to 1892 )
I thought about Needle N Haystack saying that he has done hunting in this area so I give him a call and he joined me there.
I'll let him tell you what he found...
Anyway while waiting for him I pulled up a 1918 Merc in the parkway area and a few wheats.
Once Neil joined me the hunt was on.. I soon pulled out a coin spill that had 1900 "V" nickel and 3 wheats , 1917,1924 & 1927
After about 1 1/2 hours.
I was telling Neil that maybe we should go give the other house a try. He said. I don't know there still something here. So we stayed a bit longer... Boy was he right....( see his post )
I managed to pull a NO Date Buffalo and a bunch more wheats.
We then went over to the other house where I scored a 1956 Rosie and a couple wheats.
In all I got 17 wheats ( 1913 thru 1956 ) Old ones being 1913 17 20 21 21S 24 27
2 silver Merc & Rosie
1/2 Sen Coin
1 "V" & 1 Buffalo Nickels
$2.08 in gas rebate money

It was a great first outing for 2012 and Neil showing up made it a blast.
Thanks for joining me and Congrats on your stellar finds....

Thanks for looking.......
