first time in water with ace 250, found snoopy

Hello, was never brave enough to go in the water as my first detector was a bounty hunter and i took it in the water first time i had it and fryed my detector even though it said it was waterproof, , i found lots of trash, mostly melted aluminum all over, found a few coins and a snoopy ear ring, cool a jewlery find, i will take it, , ace 250 i had no problems in the water at all, i am pretty sure this water has been hunted out, as i found coins all over the bank, and 3 rings a few weeks back, but not in the water, a jewlery hunter most likely has been there, confident next time to go in the water with the ace i was in to about 8 inches from the display box, , but going to put a cork in the metal shaft to stop water from going up near the display box for next time i attempt a water hunt,, happy hunting all,

I like the Snoopy. I haven't taken mine in the water even though it is supposed to be waterproof up to the box. With my luck, Murphy's Law is the only law.
